What is the difference between TPO and EPDM?
Lightweight and long-lasting, TPO and EPDM are both roofing membranes. However, TPO is a more stable membrane that is not prone to shrinkage.
And the membranes’ smaller seams make it less susceptible to leaks as it
ages. TPO has superior strength — resistant to UV rays, and mold growth,
it offers 3x more protection against punctures and tears. TPO is also more
energy efficient, as it reflects solar energy, which contributes to efficient
cooling.
